Best WhatsApp AI agents for sales (2026)

Best WhatsApp AI agents for sales (2026)

A WhatsApp AI agent is software that talks to customers in natural language and carries out sales tasks: it qualifies, answers questions, handles objections, books meetings and hands off to a seller. For enterprise operations, Sailer AI is the most complete option. For SMBs, Chatvolt, Kommo and GPT Maker cost less. Salesforce-first companies should look at Agentforce.

Sailer AI publishes this comparison. Sailer comes first because it is the product we know from the inside, and every section says where each option is strong and where it stops, ours included. Other companies' prices and features were checked on each one's official website on October 2, 2026. Amounts in R$ are Brazilian reais: several of these tools were born in Brazil, the market that sells the most over WhatsApp.

What to look for in a WhatsApp AI agent for sales

Almost every tool now calls itself an "AI agent". These seven criteria separate the ones that sell from the ones that only answer.

  1. Does it run the whole conversation or answer FAQs? A sales agent has to qualify, handle objections, present an offer, book and know when to stop. Answering "what are your opening hours" is a different product category.
  2. Official API. Agents connected through a QR code use the WhatsApp Web protocol, which is not official. At volume, Meta blocks the number. To sell at scale, only the official API will do.
  3. Writes to the CRM. The agent needs to read context (who the lead is, which deal is open) and write back: create the contact, move the stage, fill in fields, log the loss reason. If it doesn't write, someone will copy and paste.
  4. Hands off to humans with context. The handoff has to carry the summary, what has been said and the next step. And the seller must be able to hand the conversation back to the agent.
  5. Follow-up within the 24-hour window rules. Inside the window, free-form messages; outside it, only Meta-approved templates. A good agent sends the second, third and fourth touch without breaking the rule. See the 24-hour window guide and the follow-up cadence.
  6. Measures every conversation. Reply rate, conversion by stage, the objections that come up, where the agent gets it wrong. Without measurement, you can't improve the agent or prove the return.
  7. Pricing model. Credits per message, price per conversation, per user or per project. Model it with your real volume: a cheap plan whose credits run out on the 10th ends up expensive.

Before putting any agent in production, test it with real conversations. The article on how to test an AI agent has a script.

1. Sailer AI (Crew)

Sailer AI is a CRM and AI agent platform for WhatsApp sales: it connects the brand's numbers and each seller's own number to the official API, puts AI agents and people in the same team inbox, fills in the CRM on its own and measures every conversation. Crew is its team of agents.

Best for: mid-sized and large companies that want AI doing the SDR and first-response work, with sellers stepping in at the right moment.

Strengths:

  • Runs the sale, not just the answers. The agents qualify, handle objections, book, close and hand off to the seller with context. At Amor Saúde, the scheduling and Cartão de Todos cross-sell agent reached 24% conversion to appointments and 28% to Cartão de Todos, with a 66% lower cost per lead (Amor Saúde case).
  • Real outbound. At Arco Educação, the AI SDR for schools increased schools worked per SDR per month by 1,100% and booked meetings by 66%, with a 71% lower cost per result (Arco case). See the AI SDR for WhatsApp.
  • Follow-up that respects the window. Sequences use what has already been said, stop when the customer replies and switch to templates outside the window. At the info-product business Bitcoin Blackpill, with no human team, conversion went from 0.8% to 9.4%, and 60% of sales came after a follow-up.
  • Writes to the CRM. It creates and updates contacts and deals, moves stages and logs loss reasons, in Sailer's CRM or in Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and RD Station.
  • Humans and AI on the same track. Agents and sellers share the team inbox, and Fleet extends that to each seller's own number. Compass scores 100% of conversations against the playbook, including those handled by third-party AI.
  • Tested before customers see it. Changes run in a sandbox. A typical rollout includes about 2 weeks of simulation before go-live.

Limitations:

  • It is neither the cheapest nor the fastest to switch on. A typical rollout takes about 5 weeks, because the agent is designed around the company's playbook, integrations and rules.
  • It is not a tool for building agents on your own in an afternoon. If that is what you want, GPT Maker, Chatvolt or Zaia are a better fit.

Price: plans from R$1,449/month on the pricing page; enterprise projects with setup, a monthly minimum and usage. Meta messaging at cost. More on the WhatsApp AI agent.

2. Kommo AI Agent

Kommo's AI Agent lives inside the Kommo CRM and handles WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and Messenger.

Best for: SMBs already using Kommo that want to automate first response without switching tools.

Strengths:

  • Qualifies with questions about budget and need, answers from documents and URLs, makes bookings and moves the conversation through the pipeline.
  • "When > Do" rules to hand off to a human with a summary, for example when the customer shows frustration.
  • Integrates with e-commerce (Shopify, WooCommerce) and offers a 14-day trial.

Limitations:

  • AI credits per user per month, with no rollover; extra packs cost more.
  • Up to 3 active agents on Base and Advanced (50 on Pro).
  • Tied to Kommo: if your CRM is Salesforce or HubSpot, the agent does not write there natively.

Price: US$25 to US$45 per user/month, with 750 to 2,250 AI credits per user. See Sailer vs Kommo and Kommo alternatives.

3. Blip

Blip is one of Brazil's largest conversational platforms, with customers such as Itaú, Ambev and Nestlé, according to its own website.

Best for: large brands running conversational service and sales projects at scale, with a technical team to integrate systems.

Strengths:

  • Strategic Meta partner with the WhatsApp Partner badge, according to the company.
  • Blip AI Agent connects to external APIs to book, suggest products and process payments, with tone control, a knowledge base and guardrails.
  • Blip Desk for human service, plus sales features inside WhatsApp itself (catalog, cart).
  • For small businesses, Blip Go adds an AI agent and a kanban pipeline using coexistence on the current number.

Limitations:

  • Its historical focus is customer service and conversational journeys; a consultative sales agent has to be designed within the project.
  • Enterprise pricing is not public.

Price: on request. Blip Go costs R$299/month with 100 messages a month and R$0.60 per extra message. Comparison in Sailer vs Blip and Zenvia.

4. Salesforce Agentforce

Agentforce is Salesforce's AI agent layer, built on top of its CRM.

Best for: companies that already treat Salesforce as their source of truth and have a team to administer the platform.

Strengths:

  • Agents act directly on Salesforce objects, with no middleware integration.
  • WhatsApp comes in through Agentforce Service messaging (formerly Service Cloud), with approved templates and the option of one channel per seller number, according to the documentation.
  • The ecosystem, governance and security of a mature platform.

Limitations:

  • High cost and setup complexity; WhatsApp is not the product's main channel.
  • Requires Salesforce licenses and, in some cases, Data Cloud.

Price: US$2 per conversation for customer-facing agents, or Flex Credits at US$500 per 100,000 credits (a standard action uses 20 credits). Sailer runs on top of Salesforce at Arco Educação, for teams that want Salesforce as the base and WhatsApp as the main channel.

5. Chatvolt

Chatvolt is a Brazilian AI agent platform for WhatsApp, Instagram and websites, with its own CRM.

Best for: SMBs that want an agent running within a few days, at a fixed price.

Strengths:

  • Official WhatsApp (API) from the Basic plan.
  • Handoff to humans with history preserved, when the AI detects the need or in situations you define.
  • Flux CRM with pipelines, tags and lead routing, plus broadcasts on official WhatsApp on the Pro plans.

Limitations:

  • Its CRM is proprietary and simpler; deep integration with enterprise CRMs is not the focus.
  • Monthly credits cap the volume on each plan.

Price: Discover free (no WhatsApp), Basic R$237/month, Pro R$549/month and Pro-Max R$997/month, plus a plan on request.

6. Zaia

Zaia describes itself as a system to create and manage agents and teams of agents, with a native CRM and more than 60 integrations.

Best for: agencies and technical teams that want to build many agents and even resell them under their own brand.

Strengths:

  • Agents are created by chatting with the AI, and you can bring your own model key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others).
  • CRM with tickets, history and handoff to humans.
  • White-label add-on for agencies.

Limitations:

  • Besides official WhatsApp, it offers a connection through WAHA, an unofficial integration. For high-volume sales, choose the official one.
  • Sales quality depends on whoever builds the agent; it is not a ready-made sales agent.

Price: 7-day trial, then from R$150/month; white label for R$1,000/month.

7. GPT Maker

GPT Maker is a Brazilian no-code platform for building AI virtual assistants.

Best for: small businesses that want to build a sales or booking agent on their own with a low investment.

Strengths:

  • Setup in minutes and channels such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Mercado Livre and websites.
  • Choice of AI model, with credit consumption varying by model.
  • Plans with multiple agents and operators.

Limitations:

  • Offers a connection through the official Cloud API and also through WhatsApp Web via QR code, which is not official.
  • We found no details on the website about CRM integration or human handoff.

Price: Basic R$147/month (2,500 credits), Standard R$497/month (11,500) and Corporate R$997/month (30,000).

8. Meta Business Agent

Meta itself has launched an AI agent for businesses on WhatsApp, which runs in the WhatsApp Business app.

Best for: small businesses that serve customers through the WhatsApp Business app and want 24-hour answers without adding another tool.

Strengths:

  • Answers questions about hours, products, prices and delivery, recommends products and asks questions to understand the customer.
  • Handoff control: you define the topics that always go to a human.
  • It can also represent the business on Messenger and in Meta ads.

Limitations:

  • It runs in the WhatsApp Business app, not on the API: it does not suit teams with several sellers, a CRM and campaigns.
  • The page does not mention CRM integration, and availability is limited to eligible businesses in selected markets.

Price: not stated on the product page.

What about niche agents?

Some agents are trained for one industry. Neural Broker, for example, is an AI for real estate agencies that qualifies leads, sends photos and audio, books viewings and alerts the broker to confirm. If your industry has a specialist like that and your operation is small, it is worth testing. In larger operations, what matters is CRM integration, governance and measurement.

Which WhatsApp AI agent to choose

  • Enterprise operation, sellers on WhatsApp, Salesforce or HubSpot: Sailer AI.
  • The whole company on Salesforce, with a team to administer it: Agentforce, or Sailer on top of Salesforce if WhatsApp is the main channel.
  • Already on Kommo: Kommo AI Agent.
  • Large brand with a broad conversational project and a technical team: Blip.
  • SMB that wants a fast agent at a fixed price: Chatvolt.
  • Agency or technical team building many agents: Zaia.
  • Small business that wants to build it alone: GPT Maker or Meta's agent.

An agent on its own rarely closes the gap. The model that works best in consultative sales is the hybrid SDR: AI on the opening, qualification and follow-up, the seller on the negotiation. If you still need a CRM, see the best WhatsApp CRMs.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI SDR for WhatsApp?

For enterprise operations, the best AI SDR is the one that runs the whole conversation, writes to the CRM and hands off to the seller with context. Sailer AI does this on top of Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and RD Station. For Salesforce-only companies, Agentforce is an alternative. For SMBs, Chatvolt and Kommo AI Agent cost less.

How much does a WhatsApp AI agent cost?

Self-serve tools cost between R$150 and R$1,000 a month, with limited credits. Agents inside CRMs charge per user plus AI credits. Enterprise platforms combine setup, a monthly fee and usage. In every case, Meta's template messages are billed separately, according to category.

Does an AI agent replace the salesperson?

In simple, low-ticket sales, the agent can close on its own. In consultative sales, the best results come from splitting the work: the agent replies in seconds, qualifies, follows up and books; the seller negotiates and closes. The AI takes the repetitive part off the seller and hands over conversations that are closer to ready.

What is the difference between an AI agent and a flow bot?

A flow bot follows a script of buttons and fixed replies. An AI agent understands free text and audio, decides the next step, queries systems and acts: it books, updates the CRM and hands off with a summary. In sales, the difference shows up in objections and questions that fall outside the script.

Does a WhatsApp AI agent need the official API?

To sell safely, yes. A QR code connection uses the WhatsApp Web protocol, is not official, and Meta blocks numbers that send volume that way. With the official API you get templates for follow-up outside the 24-hour window, monitored number quality and a stable integration.
